My Community appears to be originated from a village "Adhur" near Mayiladuturai and spread out to major districts of Tamil Nadu and neighboring states.

My Community citizens are staunch saivites and followers of Lord Shiva. They have travelled on pilgrimages to seek Lord Shiva blessings at Varanasi,Kedarnath,Badrinath,Amarnath,Rameswaram and Mount Kailash.

My Community citizens are pious,ethical,religious,proficient in yoga asanas and practice vegetarianism.

My Community acquired higher Post-Graduation qualifications in Indian & Overseas Universities through merit and achieved excellence in career in these countries namely USA, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, England and Middle East and established a strong presence in those countries.

My Community occupation focus has been primarily on Agriculture and later moved to Small Scale & Large Scale business establishments dealing Gold, Textiles, Groceries and Hardware; and then, moved forward to excel in Medicine, Engineering, Manufacturing, Education, Power, Construction Builders & Promoters, Banking, Insurance and Information Technology.

My Community through Education acquired highest qualifications in Professional courses in Medicine, Engineering, Arts & Sciences, Management and Software & Information Technology, Aeronautics and Astronautics reached High Management Positions in Government-Central & State, Private Sector-Power, Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Industry, Software Industry and Education Industry, Banking and PSUs etc.

My Community citizens, through systematic education and on their own efforts crossed oceans to establish themselves successfully and acquired citizenships including dual citizenships in the following countries viz Australia, Singapore, Malayasia, New Zealand, UK and USA

Few of such overseas citizens returned to their community villages and inspired students to take up challenges, advocated linking of rivers to overcome water shortage and research on harnessing Solar Energy.
